Terms of sale
Last updated: March 2026
Scope
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) apply to the distance selling of DAUPHIN products carried out via the Site (and, where applicable, by email/phone when an order is confirmed in writing), to consumer customers, unless otherwise stipulated.
Products
Descriptions and visuals are provided for informational purposes only. Due to the artisanal nature of certain products, slight variations (colour, texture, dimensions) may exist, without affecting your legal rights.
Ordering Requirements
You declare that you are of legal age (or have legal capacity) in your country of residence and are entitled to enter into a contract. DAUPHIN may refuse an order in cases of suspected fraud, unavailability, manifest error, or logistical impossibility.
Order and Contract Formation
An order constitutes a purchase offer. The contract is formed when we send you an email confirming acceptance of the order. We will provide you with an order number which you should retain.
Prices
Prices displayed are those indicated at the time of the order in the currency offered. They may be modified at any time prior to confirmation. In the event of a manifest error (abnormally low or inconsistent price), we may cancel the order and refund any amounts paid.
Payment
Payment is due in accordance with the methods offered at checkout. Card payments are processed by a payment service provider; DAUPHIN does not retain card data. Anti-fraud checks may result in a request for additional information or a refusal.
Delivery (refer to "Delivery & Taxes")
Shipping terms, estimated timeframes, transfer of risk, and customs rules are detailed in the "Delivery & Taxes" tab, which forms an integral part of these GTC.
Right of Withdrawal (where applicable)
For consumers, a 14-day right of withdrawal may apply to distance sales, in accordance with the rules of your country of residence.
To exercise this right, you must notify us of your decision before the expiry of the deadline, by email to contact@maisondauphin.com (or sales@maisondauphin.com), stating at minimum: order number, product concerned, name and email address used.
Once your request has been acknowledged, we will provide you in writing with return instructions, including the applicable return address, which depends in particular on the country of order and/or delivery (France or the United Kingdom). No return should be shipped without these instructions.
Effects of Withdrawal
Subject to eligibility (see exceptions), you must return the product within the timeframe stated in our instructions, in its original condition, with all its elements (packaging, certificates, etc.). Unless otherwise stated, return shipping costs remain your responsibility.
We will proceed with the refund in accordance with applicable regulations, generally upon receipt of the product or proof of shipment, via the same payment method (unless expressly agreed otherwise).
Standard Exceptions
The right of withdrawal may not apply in particular to:
-
personalised products or those made to your specifications;
-
sealed products that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken;
-
and other cases provided for under applicable law.
Defective Products / Legal Guarantees
Your legal rights (conformity, hidden defects, or equivalent under applicable law) remain intact. In the event of a defective product or order issue, please contact us promptly at sales@maisondauphin.com with photos and a description. We will offer an appropriate solution (repair, replacement, refund) in accordance with applicable regulations.
Retention of Title / Transfer of Risk
The product remains the property of DAUPHIN until full payment has been received. Risk transfers to the customer upon delivery to the indicated address (or upon showroom collection).
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, DAUPHIN's total liability under these GTC is limited to the amount of the order in question. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law (fraud, death/injury caused by negligence, etc.).
Governing Law / Disputes
These GTC are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to the mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in the customer's country of residence.
